Welcome to Greenwich Counselling
My name is Lori Stafford and I specialise in counselling for adults and young people in Greenwich and Docklands.
Generally, counselling focuses on what is happening to you in the present. You could be experiencing difficulties at work/home, it could be one specific traumatic event such as a bad break up or losing your job, or even just feeling more stressed than usual. Together we will explore your immediate presenting symptoms and behaviour (e.g. feeling more anxious) and how this is impacting your life, enabling you not only to solve your problems and alleviate your distress but also to empower you in making your own decisions resulting in developing more positive strategies and patterns going forward.
I believe the key to success is through the relationship of therapist and client and within a safe, confidential and carefully boundaried relationship. My role as your therapist is for your story to be truly listened to with empathy and compassion, in a confidential and safe space where you can feel valued.
Locations & Session Times
Therapy Room at Greenwich Market
If you are arriving by DLR (Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich), take the escalator to street level and at the exit turn right by the ticket machines turn along a pedestrianised area.
At the road turn left towards a set of traffic lights and cross over towards Greenwich Market. Do not enter the market but turn right walking along the market boundary until you see a card shop on the corner. Turn left and remain walking along the market boundary.
Just before Oliver Bonas there is an entrance into the market, walk along approximately 10m to see a door marked No4. If you reach Warwick Leadlady you have gone too far.
If the outer door is open press the buzzer marked Greenwich Market Counselling.
There is no reception at this location so please do not arrive early for your session.
If there is no reply it is because I am with a client so please send me a text to let me know you have arrived and I will come down to the ground floor to meet you. There is one flight of stairs to climb (there is no lift). My mobile is 07498 188 491.
